Woodshed 2 is an immersive VR experience that places you in a darkened room where you can tap glowing cubes to trigger text, code, and music, and even include your own content using Stepworks Studio.

Getting started

Linking your Patreon account

If you’re an Opertoon supporter, there’s no need to purchase the app separately — just link your Patreon and Stepworks accounts.

Loading a story

Open the app
Select “Load a story”
Select “Main Story” to update the text displayed in the shed; select “Screen Story” to update the configuration of Latin characters (ASCII), hexadecimal, and binary displayed.
A browser window will open containing an affinity code (you may need to log in to your Stepworks Studio account first). If you are in VR, you will need to remove your headset.
Return to the app and enter the code.
The app should authenticate and then show you a list of your stories. If authentication fails, you’ll be prompted to enter a new code.
Select a story to load it into the shed.

Stepworks Studio features

This app lets you add your own content and change the screen configuration by using Stepworks Studio stories.

Customizing the Main Story

The main story lets you substitute your own text for the Latin characters (ASCII) displayed on the walls of the shed when you tap the pink cube. The app will automatically translate your text into hexadecimal and binary. Here’s how:
